Despite being electric, your Tesla still requires an MOT at 3 years old and every year after that.

An MOT takes on average 1 hour to complete. You can:
A Tesla is tested to the same standard as any other car, with one difference: there is no exhaust emissions test.
Brake condition and performance are tested. Because regenerative braking does most of the slowing, the discs on an electric car can corrode, so they are worth a look before the test.
Tread depth and condition. A Tesla is heavy and quick, so check the inner edges of the tyres, where wear is easy to miss.
Arms, links, bushes and steering joints are checked for wear and play.
Headlights, indicators, brake lights, wipers, washers and the windscreen.
Seat belts, the horn, mirrors and warning lights such as airbag and ABS.
The body, doors, bonnet, boot and number plates are checked for security and condition.
If the test finds a problem, we will explain what is needed and what it will cost before any work is done. Brakes, tyres, suspension and most other repairs can be carried out here, so your car does not need to go elsewhere.
It often makes sense to book a Tesla service or a wheel alignment for the same visit.

Yes. Despite being electric, a Tesla needs an MOT at three years old and then every year, the same as a petrol or diesel car.
On the third anniversary of its first registration, and then every 12 months. You can have the test done up to a month, minus a day, before it is due and keep the same renewal date.
No. There is no exhaust emissions test on an electric car. Brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, lights and the rest of the test are the same.
