If your vehicle is drifting to one side of the road, or your steering wheel isn't straight whilst driving in a straight line, this could be an indication that the wheel alignment needs to be measured and adjusted.
Here at Dack Motor Group in Lincoln, we have invested in a Hunter alignment machine, which is well known in the industry as being one of the best. We measure and adjust all four wheels, and you receive a copy of the results before and after.
Once you have dropped your vehicle with us, one of our Electric Vehicle Technicians will carry out the following:
A Tesla is heavy and delivers its power instantly, so a small alignment error can wear a set of tyres quickly, often on the inner edge where it is hard to see.
Wheels that are out of line drag rather than roll freely. Correct alignment helps the car roll as efficiently as it should.
A car that tracks straight, with the steering wheel centred, is more relaxing to drive.
Replacing suspension arms or steering parts changes the geometry, so the alignment should be checked afterwards. We do both here.
Tesla recommends having the alignment checked if the tyres are wearing unevenly or the car pulls to one side.
