Skoda Diagnostics in Lincoln

Found a fault or have a strange noise or warning light in your Skoda? Diagnosing the problem can be a difficult and often frustrating task, one that requires high-tech equipment, methodical thinking, experience and time. This is where the Dack Motor Group team can help.

Our technicians are Skoda diagnostic specialists and are highly experienced with these models, making us the leading choice for Skoda diagnostics in Lincoln. We have dealer level Skoda diagnostic equipment and trained technicians to identify any issues you may have.

Skoda 'ODIS' Diagnostic Platform

Here at Dack, we use the Skoda 'ODIS' Diagnostic platform as well as a computer called 'Autologic'. The ODIS is the same system that the Skoda main dealer uses, it gives us a lot of data from the vehicle and access to technical information.

The Autologic tool was developed for independents and offers speed and some additional functions even the main dealers don't have.

Additionally, we have a full toolkit of equipment available to use where needed such as smoke machines, oscilloscope, multi meters, pressure gauges and more.

Which Areas Does the Diagnostic Test?

The main components which are tested in a diagnostic check are the following:

  • electronic control units (ECUs) - these control various element of the car and its performance including engine running
  • emissions and exhaust sensors
  • braking system
  • electrical components such as central door locking
  • transmission if electronically controlled
  • ignition coils
  • throttle setting
  • fuel injectors
  • air flow and coolant

We will ensure your vehicle is safe to drive after our diagnostic check and all fault codes are resolved, giving you the peace of mind that you can drive your Skoda safely. Once the diagnostic testing is complete, we will then advise you as to either what the issue is, or what is required to identify the issue.

Some of the key signs on your Skoda could be:

Strange noises – any strange noises coming from your car need to be checked out before they turn into more serious problems.

Smoke - if you see smoke or steam coming from under the bonnet, your vehicle may be overheating.
