AUDI WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Is your Audi not steering as it should? Have you noticed your tyres are wearing unevenly? If your Audi isn’t steering straight, or if your tyres are wearing unevenly, your wheels may need to be realigned.
Here at Dack Motor Group, we have state of the art wheel alignment equipment and accurate data to correctly check and adjust your wheels, both Audi front wheel alignment and Audi 4 Wheel adjustment. If required, we also have the correct diagnostic equipment to reset the steering angle sensor.
How To Tell If My Audi Wheel Alignment Is Wrong?
When driving your Audi, you may notice that something doesn’t feel quite right. It’s possible that your steering just doesn’t feel right, or that your car is drifting from side-to-side. If your steering wheel is drifting away from its centre position, this is a strong indication that your car needs its wheels aligned.
Why might my Audi need front wheel alignment?
Unintentional changes to your tracking can be caused by driving over a deep pothole, knocking a kerb while parking, or simply from your daily commute over the many speed bumps on the roads.
As you hit kerbs, bumps, and potholes, your wheels will eventually become misaligned. This is damaging to your car for several reasons. Firstly, misaligned wheels can cause uneven tyre wear, which will mean you’ll need to buy new tyres sooner.
Hitting bumps can also take a toll on your vehicle’s suspension and cause costly damage. While the suspension is built to take on a little bumpiness here and there, too much of it can wreak havoc on your vehicle. It will also negatively affect your fuel economy, as the engine has to work harder to compensate for the wheels pulling in different directions.
Free Audi Alignment Checks
When your car comes into us for alignment, we'll drive onto the dedicated alignment bay where we select the Audi vehicle details for your car on the computer system. We'll then weigh your car appropriately taking into account the fuel level, before installing the wheel clamps and then carry out a full laser scan of the vehicle's geometry. Once measured, we'll print out a report that shows where any wheel alignment adjustments are required.
The check is free and adjustment starts from £39 for the front toe. The price is then dependent on which other adjustments are required (Toe and camber, front and rear). Feel free to speak to a member of our team to discuss this in more detail.
